(a) (i) Explain what is meant by the resolution of an ADC (analog to digital converter) and the typical range of resolutions available on a microcontroller (such as the KL25Z). (ii) Explain what a PIT (programmable interrupt timer) does. (iii) Briefly distinguish between the modulation frequency and the duty cycle in pulse width modulation (PWM). There is no need to describe peripheral registers. (iv) A 16-bit counter uses a frequency of 8MHz. Calculate the maximum duration (the time taken for the counter to count from zero to its maximum value). It is sufficient to give an expression
