A lot of people have an experience of work similar to Peter at Initech from this week's lecture. However, a lot of people do not. This is largely a function of different types of management practices related to motivating people and building a culture of productivity.

In chapter seven (p.223 -234) there are several theories of motivation, each with their own particular take on what makes people more productive. While we've learned motivation is a truly complex issue, not covered by anyone theory, you should pick one of the theories from the chapter and explain what it would have looked if Lumbergh had used that theory at Initech.
