A manager is putting together a team of employees to tackle a special project. The team will consist of a team leader, an assistant to the leader, and 5 other team members whose positions are interchangeable. If there is a pool of 17 employees from which to choose, each of whom would be suitable for any position on the team, how many ways can the manager put together this team? Treat this problem as a counting principle problem with two choices. First find the number of ways one can select the leader & the assistant. Next find the number of ways one can select the other team members from the, remaining employees. One is a permutation, the other a combination. The total number of ways the team can be comprised will then be the product of each of these values
