A medical study investigated the effectiveness of a drug called Sumatriptan for treating migraine headaches among children.[1] In this study, the researchers observed 30 children in a convenience sample who had migraine headaches. The first time they had a migraine headache, the children were given Sumatriptan. The next time they were given a placebo.

Do children experience more migraine headache relief from Sumatriptan or the placebo? Of the 30 children in the study, 22 had more pain relief with Sumatriptan and 8 had more pain relief with the placebo.
