A moderator analysis using PROCESS (v.4.0; Hayes, 2018) was conducted to test the null hypothesis, "H0: Gender does not significantly moderate the predictive effect between Loneliness (X) and Depression (Y). There was a significant predictive effect between Loneliness and Depression, t = 15.0464, p < .001, b = 5.4195. The result of the interaction effect between Gender and Loneliness upon Depression , t = -2.7648, p = .0058, b = -.6290. See Table 2.

My question is this, Is there a significant interaction effect between Gender and Loneliness upon Depression from the Table 2 data? If so, why? Thank you
