A Natural Gas (NG) pipeline consists of two different pipe segments connected in series between two cities of A and B. The NG has the volumetric composition: CH4= 80 %, C2H6= 10 %, CO2= 5 %, and N2= 5 %. The NG is compressed by a compressor from cit A with a flow rate of 3x106 m3/day at 10 oC. The pipe segment between A and B has DN 400 with 10 mm wall thickness, 300 km long. Inlet and exit pressures of compressor are required as 40 and 75 bar. Assume that Colebrook friction factor of 0.01, average gas compressibility factor of 0.90 and gas gravity of 0.65. Base temperature and pressure are 20 oC and 1 atm, respectively. Use =1.4

a) Calculate pressure of the NG at B by using general flow equation

b) If there is a compressor station required, find the location from city A.

c) If isentropic and mechanical efficiencies of the compressor and its driver are 0.80 and 0.95, respectively, assuming compressibility factors at suction and discharge conditions are equal, what is the driver power required ? calculate the compressor outlet temperature of the NG.
