A new species of sea snail is discovered in southern Louisiana.They randomly sample 38 of the new snails in their collection and find the mean weight of this sample to be 31.7 grams. Based on similarities to other well-known snails, the researchers assume the population standard deviation of the weights of these snails is 5 grams. Using a significance level of 0.05, test the claim the the mean weight of this new species of snail is greater than 30 grams.
