A nurse was required to purchase her uniform for $150 when she joined the hospital for her job. Under the terms of her employment, the hospital has to reimburse her after 60 days. Until the hospital fulfills that obligation, the amount is technically still in the hands of the hospital and therefore that amount is considered to be a liability to the hospital from an accounting point of view.
