A plane wall of thickness L = 5 m consists of two parallel layers. The top layer is made of material A and the bottom layer is made of materials B. The width of the wall is W = 2.5 m. The height of material A is 1 m with kA = 50 W/mK, and the height of material B is 2 m with kB = 75 W/mK. There is no heat transfer between the two materials. The inner surface of the wall is maintained at Ts,1 = 150oC, and the outer surface is in contact with a fluid of T(infinity) = 20oC and h = 50 W/m^2K. At steady state, (a) construct the thermal circuit of this system, labelling all resistances, temperatures and heat rates, (b) calculate the rates of heat transfer, and (c) find the temperatures of the outer surfaces. Assume one dimensional heat transfer.
