A postgraduate student wishes to begin a research project in primary schools to identify common characteristics of children who display bullying behaviour. The project aims to predict which children are likely to engage in such behaviour so that some form of intervention can be introduced to prevent it bullying. The student has reviewed the literature and has found that different personal, social and cultural factors affect the bullying behaviour of children. However, he is uncertain about the intensity of the effect of these factors; hence. he wants to undertake a research study. Required: Identify the dependent and independent variables from the above scenario and develop hypotheses based on the scenario. Please remember to denote the null and alternative hypothesis properly. Conceptually, suggest, how will you test the hypotheses.
