A private school with 500 students offered parents an opportunity for children to enroll in an after school program. Eighty of the students self-selected into the program. After 2 two months in the after school program, grades of all students were examined and compared. Those who participated in the program served as the treatment group and those who were not in the program served as the control group. What type of design is being used in this study
