a$.$ Production Planning, BOM, and MRP for Final Product:

$1.$ Describe the production planning process, including demand forecasts for a

minimum of $12$ months. Describe the final product and the possible customers

of the product, demand for the product, and any uncertainty that could be with

the demand forecast.

$2.$ Develop a multi$-$level Bill of Materials $($BOM$)$ for the final product, specifying the

components and their quantities. The proposed multi$-$level bill of materials

$($BOM$)$ should include a minimum of $3$ levels, $12$ materials and components to

produce a unit of the final product

$3.$ Create a Material Requirements Planning $($MRP$)$ model aligned with the

production plan. The model should cover different lead times required for each

level of production$/$assembly in the bill of material $($BOM$).$ To determine the

gross requirement for material requirement planning students should address

any additional demand, scheduled deliveries, and on$-$hand inventory for

material, components, and the final product.
