A psychologist accepted a patient but after several sessions realized that she had minimized the extend of her problems in the initial session. He immediately focused the next session on helping her to develop a long-term treatment plan and to identify an agency or service provider that could provide the long-term continuous treatment she needed." Why did the therapist decide he could not treat the patient? What ethics code explains his behavior?
