A random poll taken last year of 31 Canadians found 60% were happy with the Liberal government in place. This year a new poll of another 31 Canadians found that only 40% were happy with the Liberal government. The Liberals have claimed they are just as popular with Canadians this year as last year.

a) Test at the 10% level of significance your belief that the Liberals have become less popular to Canadians this year relative to last year.

b) Now assume the Liberals accept they have declined in popularity but they claim the decline has only been a 10% drop. Test an even stronger belief that the Liberals have seen a greater than 10% decline in popularity. Conduct all necessary testing at the 10% level of significance.
