a) faces the remaining options over and over, even though the player has already chosen an option.

b) cannot progress in profit or size but will remain in the same situation regardless of the players choices.

c) faces the same options regardless of changing rivals.

d) faces the same strategic interaction with the same rival and the same payoffs in successive period.
