A researcher is interested in whether or not there is an association between children's verbal ability and antisocial behavior. In order to test this association the researcher has a sample of 9 kids take the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (PPVT) to estimate the children's verbal ability. A higher score on this test indicates greater verbal ability. Additionally, the researcher asked each child's parents to complete parts of the Auchenbach Child Behavior Checklist (CBC). Higher scores on this measure indicate greater participation of the child in anti-social behavior (according to the parents' responses). Using an alpha of .01 and the data below, test whether or not a statistically significant association actually exists between verbal ability and anti-social behavior. Make sure to include the relevant hypotheses and all steps in your calculations. Interpret your results.
