A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. To be considered for the position, applicants must submit an SOQ along with their application. The SOQ is a narrative discussion of how your education, training, experience, and skills qualifies you for the position. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. SOQs must have both first and last name and be no more than two (2) pages in length. In the SOQ, provide specific examples addressing the following, in the order listed below and each response must be numbered to clearly indicate which statement you are responding to. Describe your ability to plan, organize, and adapt to changing assignments and priorities, and to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. 2. Describe your ability to identify a problem and evaluate alternatives in order to make a recommendation or decision. 3. Describe in detail the steps that you take to provide outstanding customer service and any experience you may have with providing information or services to the public. 4. Describe in detail any experience you have in mentoring, advising or coaching individuals.
