The heat transfer coefficients for the inside and outside surfaces are 220 W/m2C and 6.5W/m2C respectively. If the temperature of steam is 350C and the ambient temperature is 30C, calculate: a) The steady loss of heat for 50m length of the pipe; b) The overall heat transfer coefficients based on inside and outside surfaces of the lagged steam main.
