A student left the responsibility of studying for his four most important subjects of the semester until the last day. You have 8 hours to prepare for your final exams. Depending on the number of hours you dedicate to each subject is the grade you expect to obtain. The student must dedicate at least one hour to each subject and can only study one subject per hour (he cannot study several subjects in the same hour). The expected grades for each subject according to the assigned hours are shown in the following table(please use the method of tables form last to first):
Study hours 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Discrete-event simulation 20 30 40 50 60 65 70 90 95 Decision-making models 15 25 30 35 40 50 70 85 90 Statistical engineering 5 10 20 30 45 50 70 80 85 Project feasibility 30 35 45 50 60 65 80 85 90 Using dynamic scheduling, decide the best distribution of study hours to maximize your overall grade. Clearly define the decision periods, decision variables, initial states and the solution obtained.
