A student's grade in class is based on a percentage for classwork and for attendance, according to this policy:

Any student with more than five absences fails the class, regardless of percentage. A student with tow or fewer absences gets 3% added to the percentage. The grading scale, after being adjusted for attendance, is 90 to 100 = A, 80 to 89.9 = B 70 to 79.9 = C, 60 to 69.9 = D, and below 60 = F.
