A study was done to determine if people from lower social economic classes show greater prosocial behavior than their higher class counterparts (Piff, Kraus, Ct, Cheng, & Keitner, 2010). Participants played a game with an anonymous partner. Part of the game involved donating points to the partner. Did the lower economic class participants (the experimental group) donate more points compared with the upper class participants (the control group)? The following data show how many points were donated. Test with a .05 level of significance. If appropriate, construct a 95 percent confidence interval.
