A successful fashion business must be able to deliver the correct product to the customer at the correct time to generate a profit. The last few years have exposed cracks in the supply chain and its ability to meet the needs of product development and its ability to deliver the product to the market on time. Potential gaps in the chain are constantly evolving. A few examples of challenges during the Pandemic included a lack of materials, and longer lead times were needed. Both of these have an impact on the Product Development calendar and timing. An additional challenge is a need for Transparency and Visibility in the supply chain. (The Suez Canal)
