SINGH SWEETS is a sweet shop and restaurant outlet located in New Chandigarh, Punjab, India. It is an old establishment by the grandfather of the owner. Currently they have $3$ outlets in three different areas where they sell variety of Indian sweets as well as serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and other snacks and drinks. They have around $10$ employees at each outlet. They have customers from the local area and casual visitors.

Currently, the major pain point for their business is that they don$$t have a system for taking orders and billing. Currently they are doing it manually, because of which the customers wait in long queues to make the order. Secondly, they don$$t have any system for the inventory management and attendance system for the employees, which leads to many errors while generating their salaries and managing the inventory. Another pain point is that there are always miscommunications about the orders between chefs and order taker due to which whole process of the outlet slows down.

Vision and Scope

The owner$$s vision for the project is a software developed, with the help of which taking orders and billing by the employees can speed up$,$ send orders to the screens in kitchens, keep record of the orders and billings, take online orders, keep record of attendance of the employees and inventory management.

This vision can be accomplished by SINGH SWEETS by have a restaurant management software. The scope of the project will focus to speed up the process of order taking and billing to reduce queues of the customers, managing the attendance records and inventory of the restaurant. Reduce the miscommunications between the order taker and chefs. Online orders taking will be out of the scope for now but can be added in the future.
