a) Superheated steam at 300C and 5.0 bar absolute is used to heat a counter-currently flowing stream of propylene gas in an adiabatic heat exchanger. The propylene gas enters the heat exchanger at 40C and 250 kPa and leaves at 250C. All of the steam condenses and emerge from the heat exchanger as a saturated liquid at the same pressure i) Taking a basis of 100 mol/s of the feed gas, draw a completely labelled the flow diagram of the process. (2 marks) ii) Suppose the C3Ha at 40C and 250 kPa and Water at 0.01C and 0.00611 bar are chosen as a reference state, find all required values of enthalpy. H. (2 marks) iii) Calculate the required mass feed rate of the steam by using the energy balance on the system (3 marks) iv) Compute the rate of heat that must be transferred (kW) from the water to the propylene (2 marks)
