A team charter is a document that a project team creates to help it define the project's mission and deliverables (the project's ultimate goal and what must be delivered to the project sponsor to eventually reach the project's goal). The charter also needs to clarify who is responsible for what. Lastly, it sets agreed-upon guidelines under which the team will work. We will examine additional aspects of a team charter as we move through this course.

1. You are a project manager and assembled your project team. Team members have not yet met each other. You have your first meeting. In at least 5 sentences, explain what your first steps will be.
2. What makes a good team? Describe at least 3 qualities of a good team. Each quality should be described in at least 3 sentences (for a total of 9 sentences).

4. List at least 3 procedures necessary to help complete a project that you would incorporate into a team charter. Base these procedures on the answers to the questions above.

For example, you can create a procedure that can counter a trait in people that irritates you (based on c. above). If a trait is "tardiness, " what procedure would you implement for a team to help prevent lateness by team members?
