A team that I would consider successful is the staff at the Wound Care Center; I previously worked as a Front Office Coordinator in Comanche County, Oklahoma. Comanche County Memorial Hospital Center For Wound Care and Hyperbarics is an award-winning clinic specializing in healing Venous and Diabetic wounds. The Medical Director, Dr. Paul Nioce, runs the clinic.
The team was successful because they always took a patient-first approach. The Clinical Nurse Manager was in charge of the nurses, which were LPNs and RNs, while the Director of the center ran the administrative side. A team approach was always taken to care for the patients; the administrative side made beds to assist when the clinic got busy, and the nurses would help with filing whenever there was downtime. The Director was always upfront and transparent about anything pertaining to the clinic, which put the staff at ease; these practices made the clinic run smoothly.
