A time that I can remember being impacted by leadership communication was at one of our safety meetings at work. We were currently going through a tough time and had difficulties with getting organized. My boss went around the room and asked us to discuss with everyone one thing we think the company as a whole could improve on and something we thought was good about the company. By the end of the discussion, we had determined we had major communication issues. Throughout the weeks to come we resolved the issues, and it has had a tremendous impact. I really liked how not only did we discuss things we could do better and find the underlying problem, but we also shared really good things about the place we worked. Through this, I realized I have a thoughtful and caring leader who values his employees and I'm happy to be a part of the team.
