A total reward strategy can attract new hires and as well as retain current employees if the strategy is competitive enough when compared with other companies in the same area of business. I believe that a total rewards strategy can also be a big factor in regard to return on investment. When employees are motivated to do their best work in hopes of reward, the company works smoother and makes more money for the company. It is always best to ensure that employees are happy in their work environment, it ensures that they stay with the company which in turn helps the company retain the talent that they have invested so much time in cultivating.
Company culture plays a major part in how people decide where they would be happiest to start or continue their career. A total rewards strategy plays a major role in a companys culture which could sometimes be a deciding factor when making a career decision.
