A2. In this question you will revisit the following Change of Variables example done in class, this time choosing a change of variables which turns the region into a rectangle. Section 15.9 notes - Example #10: Evaluate ff mydA, R where R is the region in the rst quadrant bounded by the lines y = a: and y = 3:1: and the hyperbolas my = 1 and my = 3. In class we used the change of variable u = my, 1: = y which transformed the two hyperbolas into lines in u, v-coordinates. However, it transformed the lines y = 3:, y = 32: into parabolas. Instead, nd a change of variables on = my, 1: = , which turns the region R in the 2:, y-plane into a rectangular box in the u, v-plane. Evaluate the integral using this new change of variables. (The value should be the same as what we obtained in class: 2 log 3.)
