Abigail is taken to Markham Stouttville Hospital where she is treated.The broken bones in her wrists and right arm are set in a cast. Because of the headinjury, Abigail remains for neurological observation and after four days, she is sent home.She remains at home for six weeks until the cast is taken off her arm. After the cast istaken off, she attends physiotherapy sessions once a week for 10 weeks.After her release from the hospital, Abigail continues to have chronic lower back andheadaches. She is unable to walk long distances, and she is unable to sit at her desk orwork for prolonged periods. Abigail is right-handed and because she now has limitedmobility in her right arm, she is unable to work at her computer for more than 10 minutesat a stretch without experiencing pain.

She returned to work on February 1, 2018 for a month. However because of chronic pain and difficulty using her computer, which is essential for her job, she is unable to continue working.
