ABSTRACT Our study discuss the effect of ination. consumer price index and the unemployment rate on the import and the export in Lebanon. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship of these variables with the import and the export, and how these variables are affecting them and to what extent. We used the SPSS program for the analysis of our gathered data. Our analyzed results showed that the GDP has inverse relation with the imports. When the unemployment rate was affected by these changes (variables), the local industry will decrease its production and the country relies on imports. We tracked a negative relationship between the exports and others variables except GDP. While there was a direct relationship between export and GDP. Thus when the local industry decreases its production, the product produced are less than enough for local consumption. as a result the country has no production to be exported
