Abstract

This research aims to investigate the relationship and impact of transformational leadership on entrepreneurial orientation in Jordanian commercial Banks, and whether organizational learning capability mediates the effect of transformational leadership on entrepreneurial orientation. The research tries to understand (what/why/how) about these relationships. The research design adopts collecting direct data from employees by survey. All data will be collected and converted in the numerical form to be analyzed by statistical tools to prove the hypotheses and defend the model. The secondary data will be used only to build the literature review and theoretical frame work. The researchers choose only six banks out of the 28 commercial Banks in Jordan because they are working in that six banks, and it would be easier to the researchers to survey them. All managers at the top level in the sample Banks are invited to fill the questionnaire since they can understand the variables of the research. The questionnaire designed to measure the variables and dimensions of the research by questions with five levels of answers (strongly agree/ agree/ neutral/ disagree/ strongly disagree) The results revealed the significant effect of transformational leadership and its dimensions (inspirational motivation and intellectual stimulation) on entrepreneurial orientation and its dimensions (idealized influence and individualized consideration). Additionally, the results showed that organizational learning capability and its dimensions (Experimentation and responsiveness) fully mediates the effect of transformational leadership on entrepreneurial orientation.
