To be successful in any business environment, accountants need to be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner. The Professional Reading and Writing Assignment (PRWA) will involve reading several articles from a professional journal, a current newspaper article, etc. and summarizing the article in your own words. The PRWA will count as 10% of the course grade. You will have one reading assignments which will be posted in Blackboard.

You should use multiple articles (3 minimum) that deals with the same accounting topic.
Use a cover page to list the title of your topic, your name, the class, date, etc.
Prepare your summary in report format. Go to MS Word and go to New and you will find a multitude of pre-built templates, reports, letters, etc., for any occasion.
Make your report look professional...something you can be proud of, something you would submit to a supervisor or to a client.
Use a reference page and yes, you may include charts and graphs as an appendix.
Total report that includes the cover page, body of the summary/paper, reference page should be 4 pages. This means, you will have at least 2 pages of written text. The appendix that may include charts and graphs are not part of the 4 page.
Do not copy and paste from articles or any other documents to your document.
