According to 7News, pet adoptions recorded a spike during the COVID 19 lockdown period. A veterinary clinic owner wanted to know the proportion of people who adopted a pet during the same period in the Ryde City Council (RCC) area. In a survey of 43 randomly selected RCC residents, 14 of them said they adopted a pet during COVID 19 lockdown.
