According to The Biggest Medical Malpractice Verdicts of 2019, a jury in Cook County, Illinois awarded a mother $101 million dollars because of malpractice found in the procedures during the birth process. The tests showed the baby was not moving and they should have a completed an emergency c-section and this was not done resulting in the baby being born with brain damage. The documentation from the hospital staff should have proven they did all right procedures but instead they failed to resulting in this baby not being able to walk, talk, and feed themselves for the rest of tlieir life
