Research Question: What are the associations between gender, age, technology self-efficacy, intellect/imagination and daily technology use on self-reported attitudes toward technology?

Hypothesis: Firstly, is hypothesized that age will be negatively correlated with technology use and attitudes toward technology. This indicates that older individuals will engage with technology to a lesser extent than younger individuals and have more negative attitudes toward technology. Negative attitudes toward technology are hypothesized to be more common in Women than in Men. It is predicted that frequency of use of technology will be positively correlated with attitudes toward technology, as such higher frequency of use of technology indicates more positive attitudes toward technology. It is hypothesized that openness to experience will be positively correlated with attitudes toward technology. That is to say that individuals high in openness to experience tend to have active imaginations and are intellectually curious, therefore will tend to have more positive attitudes toward technology. Lastly, it is hypothesized that technology self-efficacy will be positively correlated with attitudes towards technology and frequency of use of technology. Suggesting that individuals high in technology self-efficacy will hold more positive attitudes toward technology and will tend to engage with technology more than those individuals with low technology self-efficacy.
