According to theU.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

(BLS), employment in leisure and hospitality has increased by 1.6 million jobs since January 2010. In fact, restaurants, hotels, and other employers are responding to the growing consumer demand. In a 12 month period, this industry alone added 406,000 jobs within the food & beverage industry accounting for 80% of the industry's job growth. Although available jobs have increased, hotels are experiencing a shortage in staffing.
