A road is to be constructed on a valley. The road starts out uphill at a 6% slope followed by a 4% downhill slope until it goes uphill again on a 6% slope. The first curve is a symmetrical curve that has an observed length of 300m whereas the next curve has an observed length of 450m. It was observed that the first half length (L1) of the second curve is similar with the half length (L2) of the first curve. It was surveyed that the road starts at station 24+350 on a 224m elevation. The stationing for the first curve is at every 75m, whereas the stationing for the second curve is at every 75m for the first half length and at every 100m for the last half length. Fill-up the table provided below with the necessary data. Determine the appropriate sight distances for both curves, as well. Procedures: Using the calculated values, draft the road profile in the attached AutoCAD template. Attach a screenshot of the road profile design.
