Company Comparison Analysis of Financial Statements - Worth 10% of final mark
This assignment is to demonstrate your understanding on how to evaluate performance when comparing two companies. TWO companies in the SAME INDUSTRY have been selected for each group. For each of the companies, you are to go online to the company's official website (link given) and download their most recent ANNUAL financial statements package - typically under an Investors or Investor Relations section. Links to the financial statements used in the assignment must be a part of the final submission. Based on the information from the financial statements you are to complete the financial analysis with commentary for each company (expected measurements are listed below). Based on your findings you are to comment on which company's performance is superior and note the reasons why.
Groups will be randomly selected at the beginning of the class.
All work for each measurement must be shown in the final submission. A cover page is expected listing each team member that participated and their ID# - If a member of the group does not participate in the group work, please do not add their name to the cover page.
