Accurate Devices, Inc. manufactures and sells equipment used to precisely measure weights and liquid volumes used in other industrial manufacturing applications. Lead is a key ingredient in most of their devices. A pregnant female employee's exposure to lead involves a risk of harm to the fetus. Because of this, Accurate Devices had a policy that excluded women who are pregnant, or who are capable of bearing children, from jobs that involved exposure to lead.
