ACHIEVING PROJECT SUCCESS T here are many ways of achieving project success. One of them is to develop a specific and strong identity for the project as an autonomous entity through committing to a project culture at the heart of which is to do $$whatever is best for the project$,$ especially where the project relies on coordination, collaboration and communication across a number of different member organizations of the project. Clegg, Pitsis, Rura$-$Polley, and Marosszeky $(2002)$ discuss a case where this occurred; however, there are risks in doing this when the project is intraorganizational because the best for project may not be the best for the organization overall. It is for this reason that the project needs to keep close touch with the organization and its relevant management to ensure that the twin goals of project and organization are aligned. $$
