SavvyDude sells men's clothing and accessories to retail stores around Northeast Ohio. SavvyDude is introducing a new accounting information system to handle the large volume of sales as a result of its growing business. You are involved in the design of the new system. Use the following summary of the Revenue Cycle to complete the requirements below. When customer orders are received, they are handled by a Sales Clerk. A Warehouse Clerk prepares the order and a Shipping Clerk sends the order to the Customer. If all items are not available to ship, then the items that are available are shipped and the remaining items on the order are shipped at a later date once they are available. All sales are on account and Customers make payments based on a monthly statement. A Cash Receipts Clerk handles the customer cash receipts which are deposited in the checking account on a daily basis. Using the information provided for SavvyDude, prepare an REA Data Model for the Revenue Cycle, including cardinalities using the guidelines and appropriate symbols as described in Chapter 19 of the textbook. The REA model should be well-formatted, easy to follow, and include appropriate cardinality notations. Prepare the REA model using LucidChart (submit as a pdf file). ALSO, create the appropriate table structures (Chapter 20) which would be implemented in a relational database for this model.
