Acting with a search warrant, police installed a video camera near the top of a utility pole (a pole camera) to surveil the home of alleged drug dealer. For more than three months, the elevated camera provided police with continuous, recorded video surveillance of the area surrounding the dealer's home, including an area behind his privacy fence.
