Active Directory (AD) has been used in the Microsoft platform since 2000. Implementing AD gives administrators tools to better manage their networks more effectively.

In order for AD to be internationally compliant, it must meet international standards. Research the international standards that AD is based on and write a one to a two-page formal report summarizing what those standards are and how those standards are implemented in AD as well as comparing terminology used between them.
