Case Study B - Developing Sustainability Policies H & J Accountancy and administration services are a medium-sized, office-based company that employ 24 members of staff across a few different departments in the offices. They have a large kitchen area and shower room facilities for staff members. They work between the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and have another branch in a nearby city that they travel to twice a week for a meeting. Their main business is providing accountancy and administration services to individuals, small businesses and some large companies. They use a lot of paper and ink for printers and photocopiers in order to provide prospective customers with quotes, and send out regular financial reports and other reports as requested. All of their reports follow a house style of font size 12, font style Calibri, centre alignment and arrow bullet points for lists. The majority of their work is computer-based, but they do keep a lot of hard copies of paperwork. They would like to minimise the impact on sustainability of all office and transportation activities.
