Adm 1700 Introduction to bussiness Question 1 (9 point) Scenario --SIMULATION
Following your brilliant studies at Telfer, you receive a good job offer as well as a huge challenge: finding a new strategic direction for this company.
You then consult your new team to gather ideas. And on this team there is Robert LeBeige, who has worked for this company for 19 years and 14 days, he specifies!
Robert explains to you that after obtaining his MBA online, he thought of a "revolutionary project" in order to relaunch the company that has just hired you as a strategist: Robert wants to compete with Dollarama on all products offered in its branches by adding the sale of personalized t-shirts, where a customer could add a text or a personal photo, for example.
He says he presented his project in an online MBA course, and that his professor gave him an A+ and that he received applause from the 8 other members of the course during his presentation.
He adds that he could go to Asia to negotiate with partners in order to be able to sell the same products at the same prices on Canadian territory.
Finally, he gives the example of t-shirts that could be produced, distributed and sold at $2 each in the "revolutionary Dollarrama", from his imaginary world.
After respectfully listening to his pitch for 30 minutes, you take a break. You decide to prepare YOUR ARGUMENT in order to better frame this Robert!
=> You then present to your team an argument (REASONING, EXPLANATIONS) CONCERNING THE BARRIER TO ENTRY of an organization which demonstrates that Robert's proposal is unrealistic.
DO not forget: Your explanations, or your argument, must be briefly explained or developed in a maximum of 6 lines per barrier. Must be explained or developed briefly in 6 lines . Get straight to the point that supports your ideas or reasoning.
