Advise Local Superstore Ltd. if claims can be brought by the cleaning staff, Peter, and Janice
- Janice was the manager of Local Superstore Ltd, a small supermarket in Chelmsbridge High Street. The following events occurred recently:
- Janice was unhappy with Bob, one of the cleaners, because of his slow work. Janice ran towards Bob shouting. Bob thought Janice might hit him despite the fact that everyone knew Janice was a really a gentle person.
- Claus, the deputy manager, seeing that Janice was unhappy about the cleanliness of the store, determined that no employee should leave until the store was clean. After the store was closed for the evening, and when no one was looking, Claus locked the doors. He unlocked them an hour later when the store was clean. None of the staff realised that the doors had been locked during that period.
- Peter, a work experience trainee, was collecting trolleys from the car park. He was not looking where he was going and pushed a trolley into the side of customer Vikram's new car causing 4000 worth of damage.
- Because of a staff shortage, Janice told her fifteen-year-old- daughter Daisy, to help unload the delivery lorries. Daisy damaged her back while trying to carry a large box of celery into the store.
