After a career change, Risa is an up and coming software engineer in her late 30's. She is single but is in a serious relationship (living together and sharing a home and mortgage with this person), She would like to start a family someday, although she feels she need to put this on hold for career purposes. She is lukewarm on getting married,, but would consider it when the time comes.

She is considering a lucrative offer from a company that is a competitor to her current employer. She is contemplating either staying, leaving for the competitor, or actually becoming a consultant. In her spare time, she's an avid snowboarder, also gives private lessons at the ski slopes on the weekends, and is considering competing in the half-pipe someday at some professional competitions.

1. What risk exposures does she face (think broad, but try to stay in the life insurance area if possible)?

 2. If she is life insurance adverse, what could be the possible reasons she would give? Use the link from this USA Today article for help.

 3. Using the Socratic method (answering by questioning), how would you get Risa to admit that she should consider having some?

 4. Based on what you know so far, what life insurance product (with perhaps some features) would you recommend she consider?
