After a few turbulent weeks of news and accusations, perhaps one of the headlines of the month of May was Elon Musk's announcement that his Twitter acquisition will be placed on hold due to the alleged amount of "actual users" was inflated by bots within the Twitter Ecosystem.

However, just yesterday Twitter Executives reaffirmed that the deal was going to proceed as usual and stated that it is not on hold. This statement completely contradicts Muskss earlier announcements and has stirred up controversy within the acquisition. Furthermore, with Musk also being embroiled in personal trouble after being accused of inappropriate sexual misconduct; this statement by the Twitter board seemingly further dampens Musks already bad week.
