After a long day at the office,Jack Tripper decides to stop at his favorite bar,The Regal Beagle,on the way home from work. He strikes up a conversation with the bartender, who tells him a tale of woe about her father, whorecently passed awaywithout a will, and now she and her siblings are battling over her father's estate. Upon hearing the bartender's horror story, Jack, who has been putting off having a will done, decides then and there that he needs to have a will.

He asks the bartender for something to write on and she hands him a pen and a cocktail napkin. Jack then proceeds to make a will on the cocktail napkin. Writing appears on both sides of the napkin. He signs the napkin in the presence of two of his friends, Larry and Janet, who then sign the will as witnesses.

Later that night,Jack remembers that he forgot to leave his prized coin collection to his nephew, so he adds it in above theexordiumclause, which is the only space available on the napkin. Larry and Janet are still there and watch him do it. Prior to signing the will, Jack has consumed two gin and tonics. When he adds the language about the coin collection he has had four gin and tonics.

What issues do you see regarding the validity of the will? Do you think Jack's will is valid? Is there any other information you would need to make that determination? What about the validity of the bequest of the coin collection?
